OWL Day was back in 2024 - and it was bigger and better as promised!
We also played around with the format, which meant that we were able to showcase almost all of the 60 plus languages and cultures that make up the multicultural and multilingual community that is ISH.
This year, instead of a market place in the aula, we turned the whole school into a market place for all of our languages and cultures.
Students had time to come together in their language bases - to reflect inwards on what their language and culture means to them - and what aspects they would like to share with the rest of the school community.
After lunch, all of our PYP and MYP students had the opportunity to visit all of the language bases (more than 50 in total) and use a familiar thinking routine ("I used to think ... Now I think ...") to reflect on what they had learnt about our diverse languages and cultures.
